Used Porsche – The Best Used Car You Can Buy!

When you mention to your friends that you are shopping around for a used car, there are certain images that are unavoidably cast in their minds. The term “Used Car” conjures images of junkyard wrecks with little more to give in terms of use or performance. However, when I was shopping around for a used car recently I had no intention of coming home with anything less than total perfection. I was looking for a used sports car.

In a world where there is increasing pressure from Governmental bodies and political groups for much more consideration to be given to the environment, you could argue that buying a deeply uneconomical sports car would be a bit of a social faux pas. However, I personally believe that if you have a passion and some enthusiasm for something, you should definitely indulge yourself. It just so happens that my passion is blisteringly fast sports cars that can go from 0-60 miles per hour in the time it would take most of us to blink.

I chose to check out the used sports car market as due to prestige car value depreciation, you can normally find top brand sports cars with less than 30,000 miles on the clock for anything up to half their original value. Only a fool would turn their nose up at these savings.

Generally the most popular sports cars are Porsches, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, although anyone with even a modicum of knowledge regarding these brands would tell you that the first hand editions are very expensive indeed. I knew there was no way that I could stretch my budget to cover such costs.

In the end I set my heart upon a rather beautiful Used Porsche Cayman S, which was reasonably priced, but as the test drive confirmed, every bit as powerful as I wanted my used sports car to be. If you are interested in a Used Sports Car then I strongly suggest that you shop around a lot. More importantly than anything else, make sure you take it for a long test drive first; this will give you an indication of how the car will perform in the short to mid term.
